PLEASE NOTE: If you are a resident of another state and wish to become a Delaware Electronic Notary, you must meet several requirements:

  • You must currently be a currently commissioned Notary Public within the United States.
  • Your employer must also register with the State of Delaware. Businesses that can register under Delaware law include law firms and businesses currently regulated by a state (such as a bank, insurance company, title company or financial services business).
  • Your employer must register you either an employee or contractor of their business for the purpose of performing electronic notary acts.
  • You will receive a Delaware Notary Identification Card, a SMART ID card which must be used in conjunction with your electronic notary activities.
